My interest in woodworking started as a youngster helping my grandparents refinish furniture found at auction sales. I still love antiques and when I’m not in the shop, I am often out finding wooden hand tools to refurbish and use. My intention is to build furniture for those of discerning tastes.
While I am still discovering my style, I am building furniture and art projects that complement my home. They are strongly influenced by its mid century character and my family’s early American antiques. I am a table making enthusiast and general woodworking nut. I joined the AAS degree program at Red Rocks in 2023 and discovered a love for traditional joinery as well as bending and laminating. I enjoy using the CNC router to support my projects through mold, fixture and jig making. I am also a fan of using it for inlay projects. In all of my creative works, I have taken the time to learn the early techniques and embrace the quality ideas that stand the test of time. I am, however, not a purist and have an appreciation and fascination with new tools and techniques for accomplishing similar tasks.
